Fairtrade is about stable prices, decent working conditions and the empowerment of farmers and workers around the world.
It advocates for better working conditions and improved terms of trade for farmers and workers in developing countries, while supporting marginalised farmers and workers, enabling them to build a better and more secure life for themselves, their co-workers and their families. It’s also helping bridge the gap between gender equality, with women in developing countries facing many challenges associated with the “traditional” gender roles.
Fairtrade Australia & New Zealand works directly with businesses, consumers and campaigners to make trade fair by securing a better deal for farmers and workers. The Fairtrade Mark is the globally recognised label that adorns Fairtrade Certified products.
